![]() ![]() ![]() It is a little bit of a step down from Fran Bow as there isn’t as much in the way of inventory or anything like that – but Misfortune is super cute and Mr Voice’s voice really does put you on edge wondering the whole way through if they are the antagonist. ![]() I really loved the whole twisted fairytale feel of this game and there were twists at every corner so it was really hard to get bored. Only to have later in the game a moment that you would wonder if perhaps he was really helping Misfortune or not. Voice always leaves the player feeling unsettled and wondering if he is the real catalyst in the game or not. The relationship between Misfortune and Mr. This is definitely my style of game I enjoy, so I loved these moments. Moments such as a granny hurt on the ground turning out to be the owner of a Hamster Strip Club to climbing innocently through a window, only to pass wind as she climbs through. I loved how they brought into the game cute concepts, then threw them on their head and twisted to be something completely inappropriate and filled with adult humour. There were lots of parts within the game that the community and I could make many connections from other pop culture and games we had experienced before, with the world swapping seeming rather similar to Fran Bow’s game style and the dark humorous cartoon design was very similar to MTV show Daria. My community really enjoyed the honesty questions and it really gave us something to discuss while Misfortune was walking along. Some questions may give a little bit more characterisation of Misfortune, such as during the honesty questions, where you could pick a choice while walking. I feel as though your choices change the cutscenes of the story rather than change the story itself. I am not sure how much of a difference things would have made with only one playthrough, but I did at one stage choose to put the fish back in the water and I was unable to give it to the seagull later in the game. Even when you think that you are doing the better option of choice there is a high chance that something horrific happens. Throughout the game you can only move forwards and backwards with occasionally being asked to make different choices that you were told would have particular consequences by using A or D. I loved how the creators used her glitter to give her a way to deal with her challenging childhood as she would scatter it on everything to make them “fabulous” Her crush on Benjamin the Fox is also one of the cutest moments in the game, as you watch her become enamored with him when she describes him to Mr. This also made her characterisation clearer and I felt for her in these moments and her less than ideal childhood. I really loved her way of speaking, I found it so cute and simple, yet then she would come out with something like “my mummy used to send me in there for smokes while she hugged strangers behind the dumpster” or “He hung himself? Like a Pinata? Can I hit him like a pinata?” and I would be utterly dumbfounded. Yikes Forever and Glitter Attack are two that I have personally enjoyed using and have heard many times within the gaming community. The writing is extremely well done and many of Misfortunes catch phrases have become well known throughout the community of people who enjoyed the game. This said, older teens would be able to play the game and understand it for what it was, a twisted fairytale horror game. There are many adult themed NPCs that Misfortune comes in contact with as well, such as the fuckedilious bird and Stripper Hamsters, that may make the content a bit mature for younger audiences. It has a lot of adult content and themes twisted throughout its gameplay and it would not be appropriate for young children to play. Let me start by firstly saying, Little Misfortune looks cute, but it is most definitely not aimed at young children. ![]()
